On our way to Desmet, Grace is looking out the window and says, "Dad, I see something sticking out from the roof". I look and yes indeed there is. We pull over on the highway and John has to climb up the ladder to the top of the RV while tractor trailers are whizzing by to fix the antennae that had not been locked down properly before we left. John does not like heights so this was not a great way to start out the day. Guess we're lucky it didn't get ripped off. Believe me, this is the first of many mishaps.
Hi Heather. Your family appears to be having a combination of small set backs along wih interesting old-world experiences which will give the children a new perspective about their lives in the 21st century. It aappears that the weather has been a friend, or is that how the pictures project your trip? Have a great trip and thanks for the updates.
ReplyDeleteWhile we don't have an antennae, we have had so many mishaps with our RV trips. The worst was leaving food in the fridge and closing up the RV for a few weeks :(
